EU projects 2014-2020

The company certifies products for export

Together with the Lithuanian Sports University, the company developed and manufactures an innovative product – the medical device PULS-AS SPORT, while implementing the project “System for evaluating the functional state of the athletes’ body, based on the analysis of pulse wave parameters”. The device allows a sportsperson or a specialist looking after him to quickly and easily assess the state of the body, as well as observe how the body reacted to physical exertion, changes in training, climatic or geographical conditions, allows to recognize pre-pathological conditions at an early stage and refer the athlete to a doctor in time. This innovative medical device produced by the company is focused on export, mainly to Western sports clubs that spend a lot of money on sports and training athletes.

In order to successfully export the product, it is necessary to certify it as a medical diagnostic device. The received certificate will be valid throughout the European Union and will allow this medical diagnostic device to be supplied to the markets of EU countries.

The project is implemented according to the “Expo certificate LT” measure. The project is jointly financed from the funds of the European Regional Development Fund (50%) and the company’s funds (50%). The project is carried out without partners.

The company has launched a project that will provide opportunities to trade in the global market

The company, in cooperation with scientific and study institutions, develops and manufactures innovative products (medical devices) related to functional diagnostics of the human body, and provides related services. The company does not have an electronic trading platform where customers can order and purchase the company’s products and services. Currently, the company only sells products physically (through intermediaries), so the local market is limited. In order to increase the sales volume of the company, it is necessary to digitize the sales processes. This will provide an opportunity to sell the company’s products on the global market.

The goal of the project is the implementation of information technologies for managing business transactions electronically, in order to increase the company’s income growth. The project is implemented under the measure “E. business model for COVID-19”. The project is jointly financed by the funds of the European Regional Development Fund (50%) and company funds (50%), as a means of the European Union’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The project is carried out without partners.

Project: “Creation of the design of the functional diagnostic system PULS-AS”

As part of the project under the measure “Intellect. Joint science – business projects” company created an innovative product – functional diagnostics system PULS-AS. The developed system – a pulse sensor and software – allows to assess the condition of the functional systems of the human body, based on the analysis of pulse wave parameters. The company manufactures a product – the PULS-AS functional diagnostics system and provides diagnostic services to customers. Currently, the company does not have product and service design solutions. In order to increase the company’s sales volume (products and services), this project will create product design solutions and service design solutions.

When developing the product design, the problem of the product’s appeal to the user will be solved, and ecological problems and their possible solutions will also be taken into account. The created design will make it easier for users to familiarize themselves with the product’s functions and features.

The service design solution being developed will aim to create the most favorable conditions for users to use the service: to register online for checking the functional state of the body, to receive information about the state of one’s health. The design of the service will take into account the adaptation of conditions to different groups of users. According to the requirements of the procedure, the equipment will be adapted and the interior will be created. The design of the service being developed will aim to save users’ time and effort when receiving information about their health status, and will also aim to provide patients with a comfortable environment during health check-up procedures.

The project is jointly financed from the funds of the European Regional Development Fund (72.73%) and the company’s funds (27.27%). The project is carried out without partners.

Project: “A system for evaluating the functional state of the body of athletes, based on the analysis of pulse wave parameters”

When training with the most effective training methods, the changes taking place in the body balance at the limit of damage, beyond which pathological processes begin. The athlete’s reaction to physical exertion is very individual, therefore monitoring the functional condition of athletes is very important for the safe and effective management of the training process. Cardiac function monitoring is most commonly used in the world. Heart rate monitoring is a convenient, but not sufficiently informative method. Electrocardiography is a method that allows accurate and detailed assessment of the states of the athlete, but this method is expensive and requires special training. Practical medical experience, as well as scientific research in recent years, testify that the method of pulse wave analysis reflects the state of organ systems and allows predicting early pathological and pre-pathological states. There is no doubt that the information contained in the pulse wave also reflects the changes in the athletes’ condition, but the studies carried out so far are not systematic, allowing the formulation of algorithms for recognizing and evaluating inadequate physical exertion, external conditions, and other effects on the athlete.

The goal of the project is to create a system for assessing the functional condition of athletes using pulse wave parameters. The system would consist of equipment – a multifunctional wireless pulse sensor adapted for sports diagnostic and medical purposes, algorithms and software modules for assessing the functional condition of athletes, and methodological recommendations for the use of the system. The system would allow the sportsman or the specialist looking after him to quickly and easily assess the state of the body, and monitor how the body reacted to the load, changes in lifestyle, climatic or geographical conditions, would allow to recognize pre-pathological conditions at an early stage and refer the user to a doctor in time.

The project is jointly financed from the funds of the European Regional Development Fund (71.57%) and the funds of the company and the partner (28.43%). Funded as part of the EU’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The project is carried out with the partner VšĮ “Lietuvos sporto universitetas”.
